Written by Liberty   It seems there is either a big misconception and misapplication of Gods Word when it comes to 1Pet, 1 Timothy 2, Romans 13, Titus 3 when it comes to our government officials in the United States of America or a big misconception and misapplication of The United States of America.

At one time I thought it was with the application of Gods Word by some in the Church who teach and have a passion to save souls but, I asked how could these well studied teachers of Gods Word be in such consistent error. But, then I realized, It wasn't Gods Word they were in error about, it was their ignorance of The United States of America. Then it all seemed to fit.

I believe most forget that this Great Nation was formed by those who fled the authority of Kings and  rulers of the old world and came to this continent as a free people. They also formed a country using Gods Christian principles of freedom and obeying Gods laws.

Our Founding Document " We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." As you can see all our Nation and all our rights including the right to life , freedom and our pursuits or Ordained by God. Not man. No other authority here.

And in the document that establishes the peoples rule over their government and those who we elect " We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

One should easily be able to understand that we as American Citizens have only one ruler with authority over us and that's God. We are a nation of FREE people who rule over the government we formed and not the other way around, as it was were our early brothers and sisters in Christ who lived during the early Church. We have no authority over us but God.

Barrack Obama has "0" authority over Us. He is a public SERVANT. We are his MASTER or employer. He is nothing but are employee that we came together and hired. Nor do Police, Mayors, Governors and any other government employee. It is very important for their employers " us " to discuss their performance and anything else we think needs to be discussed. This holds true for all those in public service. We pay them to manage our government and executed our laws of which we are a nation of. When we critique our public our servants we are critiquing our employees as we should.

So the Biblical reference to obeying those with authority over us doesn't apply to elected servant in the United States but it does require them to show respect, honor and obey those who they serve for we are the rulers and masters of them. The proper application is simple when speaking of or government. Where the words " king, ruler, authority,master, governor, etc , replace those words with the word " LAWS"

Yes, then crime and the evasion of the law become..... sin?.

We are a nation based on the rule of law not a ruler, king or an human authority as Peter instructs. In His Word it is very true that we are to be, subject to, submit to, obey, speak no evil of, and show honor and respect to a to those in authority over us for this is as we do to GOD. Yes we do have Gods instruction to love our enemies, and to get along with all people if at all possible to and : 1pet2:16 " Live as free people, not using your freedom as a pretext for evil, but as God’s slaves. Honor all people, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the king." Yes we should treat our employees with respect but we should also call the out when they are not being respectable.

In Biblical Times and in that area of the world the government powers where Kings, Appointed Governors, etc. All with the power and authority over Gods people and all people were subject to them. Gods purpose in this is the same as to show love to your enemies and submitting to the, our elders, slave master or your husband. For God is over them who rules over us and in submitting to them we are submitting to God.

In our country the application would have to reference the law for that is the only authority hear.

It's so amazing how very ignorant Americans are of even the most basic reasons and principle of our existence as a nation.

Could it be our government run socialized school system ?

Tit 2:9 Slaves 1 are to be subject to their own masters in everything, 2 to do what is wanted and not talk back,

Tit 3:1 Remind them to be subject to rulers and 1 authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work.
Eph 5:22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord
Rom 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God’s appointment, 1 and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God.
